RUM: “Cancer is increasingly common, but it is not a death sentence”

“Tratar o Cancro por Tu” is an initiative promoted by Ipatimup that takes place this Thursday at the Braga Youth Center, starting at 6:30 pm. Session will be dedicated to lung cancer.

Cancer is not a death sentence, but in many cases, such as lung cancer, the mortality rate is still high. To promote cancer literacy, the Institute of Pathology and Molecular Immunology of the University of Porto (Ipatimup) is promoting, on Thursday, in Braga, another session of the “Treat Cancer for You” initiative, dedicated to lung cancer. In Portugal, “five thousand cases” of this oncological disease are detected every year.
