Biography

Degree in Historical Sciences from the University Portucalense, Fatima Matos Silva obtained the degree of Doctor from the University of Granada in 2008, and was scholarship of the Foundation PRAXIS XXI Doctoral Program for Science and Technology (FCT).

Develops, since 1988, his professional activity at the University Portucalense (UPT) as a researcher and lecturer, integrating various organs of the institution. Directed and collaborated on projects of national and international research diversified, currently being integrated member of CITCEM - R & D Unit of the FCT.

Since 1989 and under the Protocol between the UPT and the municipality of Paredes de Coura, directed archaeological excavations, bibliographic issues, environmental and heritage impact assessments, organized several events, exhibitions, among many other cultural activities.

She is the author of six books and, individually and in partnership, more than sixty articles on issues of patrimonial nature, with particular emphasis on the archaeological heritage.
